The headline reads: "Shell Oil Currently Under Assault By Social Media Pranksterism, Gone Viral". It describes the following:

An "Arctic Ready" site of "Shell" is currently making the rounds on the Internet. It looks like it's by Shell, it's written in corporate rhetoric, and it has all of the features of a corporate attempt at social media (like a make your own postcard' section, and a game for kids).

Sample sarcasm:

"For hundreds of years, explorers have battled the Arctic.
Today, we're finally winning."

Or, the postcard of the arctic fox (below) that is captioned, "You can't run your SUV on 'cute'. Let's go."

Such a heady combination of activism and snark always has, and always will, play well on the internet.
