Steel Dynamics Names Mark Millet CEO

Cofounder to take over for Keith Busse.

Steel Dynamics Inc. cofounder Mark Millet will replace Keith Busse as CEO next year as part of the company's long-term succession plan, Steel Dynamics said Oct. 14.

Millett, who currently serves as president and COO, will assume his new role on Jan. 1.

Busse will continue to serve as the company's chairman and will provide consulting services to the company. He has led the steel producer and recycler since 1993.

Prior to serving as COO, Millett was Steel Dynamic's executive vice president of metals recycling and ferrous resources and the president and COO of Steel Dynamics subsidiary OmniSource Corp. He also worked at Nucor Corp. for 12 years before cofounding Steel Dynamics.
