The Pasha Group, based in Corte Madera, Calif. won the coveted 2005 DaimlerChrysler Corp. Gold Award for domestic vehicle logistics and transportation services. The award, part of the Extended Enterprise supplier program, honors outstanding performance of suppliers of commodities or services within a designated group.
"The highest honor you can receive in our business is recognition from your customer for service excellence," said George Pasha, president of The Pasha Group. "Our mutual pursuit of excellence reflects our respect for the shared values of both corporations."
Pasha was recognized for their "pure car truck carrier service" which operates from the mainland to Hawaii. Pasha Hawaii Transport Lines, a joint venture with Strong Vessel Operators, introduced the fully-enclosed Roll-on/Roll-off service which allows Chrysler to eliminate the need for costly wrap guard and undercoating protections leading to significant annual cost savings, as well as ensuring that the vehicles arrive showroom ready.
Pasha Distribution Services, the company's logistics management arm, receives the vehicles at the Mira Loma rail terminal and delivers them to Pasha's automotive terminal in the Port of San Diego for pre-shipment processing. The vehicles are delivered direct to the ports of Hilo, Kahului, Nawiliwili and Honolulu. Models include -- Dodge Caravan, Stratus, Dakota, Charger, Ram Quad and Caliber; Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Liberty and Commander; and Chrysler 300, Sebring and Town and Country.
