Rolls-Royce Signs Contact with Gulf Air

Contract worth $1.5 billion

British engine maker Rolls-Royce on June 15 said it had won a contract worth $1.5 billion with Gulf Air to supply engines for the Airbus A330.

The Trent 700EP engines will be installed on 20 A330s, with first deliveries expected in 2012, Rolls-Royce announced on the first day of the Paris Air Show here.

The deal also entails a long-term maintenance contract.
