Toyota's U.S. Sales Fall 42% in April

Year-to-date sales were down 38%

Toyota Motor reported a drop in April U.S. sales to 126,540 vehicles, a 42% decrease.

Sales for the year to date were down 38% at 486,212 vehicles.

The Japanese automaker's luxury Lexus division saw sales fall 39% to 14,195 while the Toyota division posted a 42% drop to 112,345.

Total car sales were down 42% while light truck sales were down 41%.
