Deliveries of the Airbus A380 superjumbo plane will be delayed by a further year on average, parent company EADS said Oct. 3.

The delays are expected to cut EADS' core earnings by a total 2.8 billion euros (US$3.6 billion) over the next three years, the group added.

Meanwhile, Airbus will launch a plan designed to save two billion euros per year starting in 2010, EADS said.
