Saab Receives Order for the Indian DHRUV Helicopters

Production will be in South Africa

Saab has received an order from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), India. The contract value is approximately $24 million.

Saab will begin serial production of an integrated electronic warfare self-protection system for installation on the Indian Advanced Light Helicopter, Dhruv.

"We are proud of being a supplier for this advanced helicopter and look forward to continue our cooperation and long term relationship with HAL," said Micael Johansson, President, Saab Avitronics.

This production order follows an order for development and prototypes deliveries and an initial production order received in April 2008.

Development as well as production takes place at Saab in South Africa.
