An improved outlook for industrial machinery and electric/electronic equipment that utilizes gaskets and seals will cause demand to increase 5% annually reaching $8.6 billion by 2008.

According to a study released by the Fredonia Group, a Cleveland-based market research firm, increases in motor vehicle production will also help drive growth since this market accounts for nearly half the gasket and seal market. By product segments, demand for molded packings and seals, plastic gaskets, expanded graphic gaskets, and metallic gaskets will show the largest increase.
