A widely used economic development tool, the use of tax incentives to attract manufacturers and other companies to a location or to retain them, will get a U.S. Supreme Court review during the term that begins October 3. A date for oral argument has not yet been set.

The issue comes to the high court from Ohio and involves a grant given to DaimlerChrysler Corp. The cases are 04-1724 Wilkins v Cuno and 04-1704 DamilerChrysler Corp. v Cuno.
