Uber Experiments with Parcel Delivery

Aug. 26, 2014
It seems like a natural fit. Will Uber be successful in its Parcel Delivery experiment?

Uber’s CEO Travis Kalanick recently told CNN Money, “We’re in the business of delivering cars in five minutes.  And once you can deliver cars in five minutes, there’s a lot of things you can deliver in five minutes.”

The parcel delivery effort started last week for an experimental run in Washington D.C.

James Tompkins, CEO of Tompkins International, believes Uber has a good chance of changing the package delivery market long dominated by the parcel carriers.
