Britain's manufactured output rose by 0.3% in April from the March figure, official data showed June 8. April's performance marked a slowdown after a 0.6% increase in March. On a 12-month basis, manufactured output climbed 1.3% in April, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) added.
Manufactured output accounts for 14.7% of the British economy.
The wider industrial production measure, which accounts for around 18.6% of British gross domestic product, also climbed by 0.3% in April from March.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production was 0.4% higher.
In Germany, industrial output fell sharply by 2.3% in April from the March figure, adjusted data from the economy ministry showed on June 8.
Analysts had expected an increase of 0.5% after industrial production grew by 0.2% in March.
