Company has invested more than $2 million to automate the new facility.

Avigilon, a Vancouver, British Columbia-based maker of high-definition surveillance systems, has added a manufacturing facility in Vancouver to boost its production capability.

The company said it has invested more than $2 million in equipment to automate the production and assembly of subcomponents and finished goods at the new facility, which is located minutes away from the companys headquarters. All of the companys development and manufacturing takes place in Vancouver, according to Avigilon.

With deployments of more than 3,500 systems in more than 55 countries, Avigilon has grown rapidly as the demand for HD surveillance technology increases worldwide, the company said.

Our investment in a new manufacturing facility demonstrates our commitment to meeting the worldwide demand for our HD surveillance solutions, said Dave Tynan, vice president of global sales and marketing at Avigilon. With close proximity to the Vancouver international airport and other delivery service partners, the new facility will also extend our shipping capabilities to help us fulfill customer requests efficiently and cost-effectively.
