The company said it will invest $11 million to open an 83,000-square-foot anodizing production facility in the Personal Care and Beauty Campus in the New Albany Business Park.

Anomatic Corp., a Newark, Ohio-based manufacturing of anodized aluminum, recently announced plans to build a new production facility in New Albany, Ohio.

The company said it will invest $11 million to open an 83,000-square-foot anodizing producing facility in the Personal Care and Beauty Campus in the New Albany Business Park.

The expansion will create approximately 185 jobs in its first three years of operation, Anomatic said.

"Each company at this campus is playing a role in creating a vertical supply chain to quickly and cost-effectively turn concepts into actual products on shelves," said New Albany spokesman Scott McAfee. "Businesses worldwide are taking note, and this campus has brought more than 1,000 new jobs to our region and our state in the last year alone."

Columbia Gas, in support of Anomatic's sustainability efforts, has granted $100,000 to the New Albany Expansion.

Anomatic specializes in high-volume metal packaging and custom anodizing for the medical, pharmaceutical, personal-care and cosmetic packaging industries.

"Our focus is to take care of our customers' and partners", said William Rusch, senior advisor of Anomatic Corp. "We are proud to serve the local community and work with the city of New Albany, Columbus 2020, and Columbia Gas to achieve new heights with innovation and speed-to-market."

Anomatic in 2011 supplied more than 1.7 billion anodized components to global customers servicing the packaging industry.
