Britain's Manufacturing Output Rises in June

Grew 0.3% in June

Although it was at a rate that was weaker than expected, British manufacturing output grew by 0.3% in June compared with May, official data showed on August 6.

It jumped by 4.1% in June from the level 12 months earlier, the Office for National Statistics said.

Economists had been expecting manufacturing output to increase 0.6% on the month and 4.4% on a 12-month basis, according to a survey by Dow Jones Newswires.
