British Manufacturing Output Falls 0.5% in May

On a yearly basis output was down 12.7%.

Down from April, British manufactured output declined by 0.5% in, official data showed on July 7.

Output in May was down 12.7% on a 12-month basis, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

The ONS said a wider measure of industrial production, which includes mining, quarrying and energy, decreased 0.6% in May from April and was down 11.9% year-on-year.
