Microsoft Corp. has announced the donation of more than $6.4 million in software grants to seven national nonprofit organizations. The Nonprofit Technology Leadership Grants will provide technology resources for program innovations and administrative upgrades. Grants ranging from $165,000 to $1.7 million were awarded to The March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Second Harvest National Food Bank Network, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, and Corporation for Supportive Housing.

"Microsoft is proud to support these nonprofit organizations and is pleased that our software gift can help them focus on what's most important -- the people and missions they serve," says Barbara Dingfield, director of community affairs at Microsoft.
