McClenahen The Equipment Manufacturers Institute, Chicago, and the Construction Industry Manufacturers Assn., Milwaukee, expect to formally combine forces and debut on Jan. 1, 2002 as the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers. The new association will include more than 700 companies that provide the machines, equipment, products and services used around the world in industry, materials-handling, mining, construction, forestry, agriculture and utilities. At least for the first year, the association will continue to maintain offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C. and China.
