The Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) awarded ExxonMobil Chemical's Headquarters site certification for its Wildlife at Work program on Nov. 19. "ExxonMobil is a longstanding leader in environmental stewardship," said Robert Johnson, President of the Wildlife Habitat Council. "This is what industry leaders do. They are responsible corporate citizens."
"We're working to attract and sustain native species and promote site sustainability," said Lisa Vander Laan, ExxonMobil Chemical Safety, Health and Environment Manager. "In addition to conservation of the site's natural habitat, we're supporting sustainability by conserving energy, recycling paper and plastics and reducing paper use."
ExxonMobil Chemical Headquarters is the sixth ExxonMobil site to achieve certification for a Wildlife at Work program. ExxonMobil is also a founding member of the WHC, a non-profit organization created in 1988 dedicated to restoring and enhancing wildlife habitat.
