Plant expected to create more than 100 jobs

Danish biotechnology company Novozymes received a $28.4 million Advanced Energy tax credit from the Obama administration to build an enzyme manufacturing facility in Nebraska for the production of advanced biofuels.

The facility will create more than 100 green jobs for the state, according to the company.

Novozymes will invest a $160 to $200 million to construct the plant in Blair, Neb. The blending facility at the site became operational as of November 2009 and is currently shipping enzymes to customers globally. The facility is expected to be fully operational in mid-2012.
