BioMolded Products, LLC, announced on Feb. 9 the opening of its new product design and manufacturing facility specializing in medical-grade blow molded plastic parts for the biopharmaceutical and life science industries.
BioMolded Products will initially supply various specialized consumables to Cynvenio Biosystems, Inc., a developer of high performance medical instrumentation for cancer diagnostics and molecular analysis. Cynvenio's LiquidBiopsy patient blood sample collection kit will be produced at BioMolded Products.
"We have leveraged BioMolded Products' design and manufacturing experience to produce this kit for Cynvenio in record time,"said Andre de Fusco, Cynvenio's CEO.
In addition to its initial work for Cynvenio, BioMolded Products will produce medical-grade plastic components for the biotech, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. The company will also offer rapid prototyping, pre-filling/kitting and volume production services.
"We are excited to offer this new design and manufacturing capability in Southern California," said Steve Roy, BioMolded Products' general manager. "The market for the design and manufacture of novel medical-grade consumables for the life sciences is underserved in our geography, and we intend to address that need."
BioMolded Products works with all the major types of resins for blow molding, including PETG, HDPE, LDPE and Polypropylene, as well as offering custom mold making and engineering support. The Company is configured as a turn-key supplier to support its customers from the initial product concept stage through to prototyping and production.
