Information technology companies were down slightly in 2024, with 56% of companies posting lower profits. Intel skewed the broader information technology sector numbers with a $20.4 billion drop in earnings, while the entire sector had a $20.9 billion drop.
Dell Technologies took first place in the IT sector, reporting a 35.5% net income percent change and ranking no. 9 on this year’s list.
Several companies made it onto the 2025 IndustryWeek U.S. 500 list after not making the cut last year, including Methode Electronics Inc. (no. 496) and OSI Systems Inc. (no. 446).
