Los Alamos National Laboratories Gets RFID Help To Meet DoD Manufacturing Goals

June 25, 2007
Software can record time and place of each specific step in manufacturing process.

Process TrackStar, by RFID, Ltd., is a High Frequency (HF) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) process that will help Los Alamos National Laboratories (LANL) meet manufacturing goals set by the Department of Energy.

When paired with the appropriate RFID technology, Process Trackstar can be enabled as a lean-manufacturing solution that works with the manufacturers' "product travelers" to provide valuable electronic documentation and tracking capabilities throughout the manufacturing process, according to the company.

The solution records the time and place of each specific step within the manufacturing process while capturing any manufacturing procedure revisions and ensuring compliance to quality requirements.

RFID Ltd. formulates, tests and deploys vendor neutral UHF RFID solutions for small to medium sized businesses required to comply with Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot and Department of Defense guidelines.
