To increase its efficiency in direct procurement, SPX Corp. is implementing SupplyWorks MAX at two locations in its Service Solutions Segment in Owatonna, Minn. SupplyWorks Inc., Bedford, Mass., is a provider of direct materials procurement and replenishment products for discrete manufacturers.

The new system, which is integrated into SPX's existing ERP system, will manage purchase orders, generate ship notices and bar code labels and produce electronic supplier invoices.

"By more efficiently managing our direct procurement, automating purchase orders and advance ship notices, and improving our 'Procure to Pay' cycle, SupplyWorks MAX is increasing visibility, flexibility and performance in our supply chain," says Matthew Ballard, vice president of Information Technology for SPX.
