Over the next five years the market for supply chain execution solutions, such as warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS) and collaborative production management (CPM), will grow at 9.2%. Currently this market is at $4.2 billion. ARC Advisory, a Dedham, Ma.-based research firm, projects the 2010 market to reach $6.6 billion.
"The growth in the supply chain execution market is being driven far more by the demand for real-time production management applications than for logistics applications," according to Steve Banker, ARC service director for supply chain management.
