Slower for 45th consecutive month

The delivery performance of suppliers to manufacturing organizations was slower for the 45th consecutive month in March, according to the March 2007 Manufacturing ISM Report On Business.

ISM's Supplier Deliveries Index registered 51.3% in March, an increase of 0.5 percentage points when compared with February's seasonally adjusted reading of 50.8%. A reading above 50% indicates slower deliveries. The five industries reporting slower supplier deliveries in March are: nonmetallic mineral products, computer and electronic products, transportation equipment, chemical products, and fabricated metal products.
