British Manufacturing Output Rises 0.4% in June

Industrial production rose 0.5%

In the best monthly performance since January 2008, British manufactured output increased by 0.4% in June from the level in May, official data showed on August 5.

However, output in June slumped 11.7% on a 12-month basis, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

The ONS said a wider measure of industrial production, which includes mining, quarrying and energy, grew 0.5% in June from May and was down 11.1% year-on-year.
