Top U.S. manufacturers to provide competitive domestic sourcing opportunities at event

GF AgieCharmilles is participating in the 2010 NTMA/PMA Contract Manufacturing Purchasing Fair. Also known as the Re-Shoring Fair, the event will place an emphasis on bringing lost manufacturing jobs back to the United States by uniting OEMs with competitive domestic suppliers.

The Re-Shoring Fair is the first of its kind and will be held on May 12, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine Hotel in Irvine, California.

GF AgieCharmilles' Chairman Emeritus, Harry Moser, conceived the idea for the Re-Shoring Fair and spearheaded efforts of NTMA, PMA and AMT to turn the initiative into an industry priority. During his 25 years at GF AgieCharmilles, Mr. Moser has been committed to developing the skilled manufacturing workforce and helping American manufacturers compete effectively against low wage foreign competitors.

"The Re-Shoring fair is a non-protectionist way to increase competition and net exports while also creating jobs," said Glynn Fletcher, President, GF AgieCharmilles. "By helping companies make their products better, faster and more cost-effectively, we can restore this countrys manufacturing industry to what it once was."

The Fair will focus on machined, stamped and fabricated parts, special tooling (dies, molds, jigs, fixtures and gauges) and special machines.
