Compiled ByDeborah Austin IQS Inc. -- provider of e-business software solutions -- is launching its new Supplier Portal product to provide automation and realtime collaboration in supplier quality processes. The solution supports both sides of the supplier performance issue -- executive reporting and data collection -- ensuring accurate data input not possible from nonintegrated spreadsheets and databases, says IQS President John M. Cachat. It supports performance, development, collaboration and assessment for suppliers, allowing engineering and quality professionals to collaborate across the supply chain. Using customers' existing backbone systems, the pre-configured Supplier Portal is customized for each company's needs: for example, to share information internally or as an external Web portal for supplier collaboration. IQS, Cleveland, now is implementing Supplier Portal with several existing customers.
