Compiled ByJonathan Katz Milford, Conn.-based Eventra announced that it will provide its VendorSite inter-enterprise business application to Kaman Aerospace -- a Bloomfield, Conn. manufacturer of helicopters and subcontractor for commercial and military aircraft -- to manage its planning, forecasting, and collaborative supplier communications. VendorSite is an Internet-based software solution that provides manufacturers with a "window" into their in-bound supply chain. Eventra announced that it has completed Kaman's VendorSite pilot stage with 15 test suppliers, which will increase to a total of 40 by the end of the year. "Our company had no electronic linkage in place for managing the supply chain," says Jack Bergquist, vice president of Contracts Management and Procurement for Kaman. "We look forward to greater efficiency and cost-savings afforded by having our direct materials suppliers linked electronically.
