Ford is fighting a “multiple-front war,” Henry Peabody, a portfolio manager at Eaton Vance Corp. said, citing the company’s slowing sales growth in China and higher costs in the U.S. from global trade disputes.
"They need their new key initiatives, such as the cloud and Watson AI development, to continue to ramp up," said analyst Ivan Feinsethhe. "They are growing, but they are not moving the bigger needle and that’s the issue."
