Welcome the 2024 IndustryWeek Best Plants Finalists

May 14, 2024
Six manufacturing facilities demonstrate strong commitments to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

IndustryWeek’s annual salute to manufacturing excellence in North America has reached the first of several milestones, and it is our pleasure to share that milestone with you.

Six manufacturing plants have been selected as finalists in the 2024 IW Best Plants Awards competition. Since 1990 this program has annually recognized manufacturing plants that are on the leading edge of efforts to increase competitiveness, enhance customer satisfaction, and create stimulating and rewarding work environments.

These six plants show those attributes. They work to meet their customers’ wants and needs by demonstrating teamwork, by employing technologies that make sense, by working both within their facility and with their suppliers and customers to reduce lead times, improve quality and beat their competition. They constantly aim to improve.

That’s not an easy task, as any manufacturer knows, and we applaud the efforts of these six finalists. These six facilities represent five U.S. states and manufacture a host of different products, from shrink film and industrial battery chargers to roller bearings and more.

Without further ado, our 2024 IW Best Plants finalists are:

HindlePower
Easton, Pennsylvania

Hoffer Plastics Corp.
South Elgin, Illinois

Intertape Polymer Group
Tremonton, Utah

Polyair - An IPG Company
Atlanta, Georgia

Timken Co. - Honea Path Bearing Plant
Honea Path, South Carolina

Timken Co. – Tyger River Plant
Union, South Carolina

As mentioned previously, the IW Best Plants finalist selection is but one milestone on the path to the IndustryWeek Best Plants Awards. These six manufacturing plants now move into the next round of the competition and will each respond to follow-up questions from our IW Best Plants judges.

Later this summer, we will choose our 2024 IW Best Plants Award winners from these finalists and tell their stories. Stay tuned.
