2014 IW US 500: State of Manufacturing

July 24, 2014
IW U.S. manufacturers generated $6.07 trillion in revenue in 2013.

The IndustryWeek U.S. 500 is an annual list of the largest publicly-held U.S. manufacturers based on revenue.

Companies on the list have headquarters in 42 of the states and Washington, D.C., leaving only a handful of states without representation on the list.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, states like Texas and California each house more than 50 of the 2014 IW U.S. 500 companies.

Each year, as revenues climb and fall, new companies join the ranks of the top 500. Check out this year's map below and then compare it to 2013.
