EPA Proposed Limits on PFAS Forever Chemicals in Drinking Water

The long-anticipated rules on the chemicals that don’t biodegrade easily have been expected for months.

As several chemical producers phase out production of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), federal regulators are setting new rules on how much of them are safe in drinking water, rules that could ripple through the manufacturing world as chemical producers could become responsible for cleanup.
