The notion of expanding relationships with trading partners using the Internet could become easier via a pair of new systems called Networks/Collaborate and Networks/Monitor from Manugistics Inc. The first module includes a template for building a joint business plan that can be monitored and changed as needed over the Internet by both business partners; the second acts as an automatic alert that notifies users of significant differences or changes in the plan. "Leading-edge companies are realizing that in order to meet the ever-changing needs of customers, they must work together as an integrated supply-chain community and share critical information and plans," says Mary Lou Fox, senior vice president at Manugistics, based in Rockville, Md." Manugistics Networks/Collaborate and Networks/Monitor provide a comprehensive road map for enabling the success of collaborative relationships."
