Compiled ByDeborah Austin Zebra Technologies Corp., maker of thermal bar-code-label printers, has certified HotStatus Enterprises Inc. -- a Mission Viejo, Calif.-based application services provider (ASP) of transaction-priced supply-chain software solutions -- as a Zebra Systems Integrator. The two have agreed to integrate and market Internet-enabled, out-of-box solutions including Zebra's bar-code-label printers with wireless scanners and the HotStatus suite of supply-chain software products. The solutions are targeted to a new marketplace representing hundreds of thousands of smaller U.S. warehouse operations, says Zebra senior alliance manager Jim Young. The Vernon Hills, Ill.-based $399 million Zebra makes and distributes Zebra and Eltron brand on-demand thermal bar-code-label printers, secure ID printing systems, and plastic-card printers.
