Manufacturing company owners, plant managers, vice presidents of operations and other people tasked with operational excellence will gather in Spartanburg, South Carolina, from Oct. 20 to Oct. 22 to learn about continuous improvement, industrial safety and manufacturing technology from a growing slate of top experts.

IndustryWeek’s Operations Leadership Summit features networking events, educational workshops, plant tours of world-class facilities and the chance to learn from peers who have spent decades learning what really works on the shop floor.

To be held at the world headquarters of presenting sponsor Performance Solutions by Milliken, event attendees will get a chance to see the inner workings of BMW’s massive Spartanburg plant (fun fact, BMW is a net exporter of vehicles from the U.S. because of the massive output of that SUV facility) and Spartanburg Steel Products, a high-volume steel stamping company that drives quality and productivity gains through rigorous continuous improvement efforts.

“We’re bringing the best speakers possible to the summit, but what truly makes any live event special are the conversations you have and the stories that you hear from peers in the field,” says Robert Schoenberger, editorial director of the event and IndustryWeek editor-in-chief. “I’ve learned so much over the years by hearing people’s war stories at lunch or at receptions, and I’m looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible this fall.”
