IndustryWeek Launches IW Intelligence Webinar Series

March 8, 2023
The special sessions for registered members of the website will offer expert commentary on critical topics in manufacturing, starting with a look at changes in labor regulations.

Editor's note: Due to confusion over the names of various sections of the IndustryWeek.com website, we have renamed IndustryWeek Intelligence to IndustryWeek Members Only. Nothing about the service has changed other than its name.

Starting April 13, IndustryWeek plans to hold monthly webinars for our IW Intelligence subscribers, a free portion of the website that requires registration. Our editors are selecting the topics and arranging speakers for these events, focusing attention on the critical issues facing manufacturing.

The first of these webinars is at 2 p.m. Eastern on April 13, “The Pendulum Swings Toward Employees: A Look at How Biden Administration Changes Favor Workers Over Employers,” will give subscribers the opportunity to hear from labor attorney Mekesha Montgomery.

Author of “Striketober’ Comes Out Swinging” detailing labor activism in late 2021, Montgomery leads the Manufacturing Industry team at Frost Brown Todd, representing employers in labor lawsuits and regulatory disputes with various federal agencies.

She will discuss big changes with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Federal Trade Commission and other federal bodies that deal with employee-employer disputes.

Future webinars will deal with manufacturing economics, technology and lean practices. We will announce future IW Intelligence webinars in the coming weeks. If you are not yet a member, click here to register and get a free membership.
