At the top of our electrical equipment list, GE Vernova had a rough Q1 performance in its wind business. By Q2 the company posted a profit for the first time as a independent entity, bolstered by performance in its power and electrification segments.
The wind segment would continue to cause problems for GE Vernova throughout the year, symbolized by a broken wind turbine washing up on a beach in Massachusetts in the middle of 2024.
