The healthcare equipment manufacturers on our 2025 IW U.S. 500 list produce a dizzying array of healthcare products. The top ten companies by revenue on our list make everything from prefilled syringes and IV tubing to spinal-cord implants and robotic surgeons.
Abbott Laboratories dominated the list of our top ten healthcare equipment manufacturers this year as its net income surged dramatically. The company pulled in $41.95 billion in revenue and $13.4 million in net revenue, the latter an increase of 134% from last year. By comparison, runner-up Stryker Corp. brought in about half that much revenue ($22.59 billion) and about a fifth of Abbott’s net income ($2.99 million). Six out of the top ten companies on our list were in the black in 2024, though one company, Baxter International Inc., saw net income drop by 124%.
